Cantabrian Coast
The parietal palaeolithic art outlook, besides the areas located in Italy and France, is located in several zones of the Iberian Peninsula, where the Cantabrian Coast has one of the richest. Cantabrian is one of the Provinces that presents a larger number of groups, but Asturias and the Basque Country, on the other hand, also have got beautiful examples like Tito Bustillo, Pindal, Atxerri, Ekain...

Currently more than 100 locations with palaeolithic rock art are known in the north of Spain, covering a chronology from the Gravettian (25000 years ago) to the end of the Magdalenien (aproximately 11000 years ago). Aproximately half of them are located in Cantabria. We will be able to go over some of the most important groups with palaeolithic art in Europe through the map of Cantabria. In some of the paintings that were badly preservated, digital techniques for the manipulation of pictures were used to facilitate the vision of the paintings. On the other hand, the colors showed by this image are not real.
