The Annual Meeting of the Spanish Magnetism Club (CEMAG), and of the Spanish Chapter of the IEEE Magnetics Society, was held on November 7-8, 2024, at the Faculty of Science, University of Cantabria in Santander. The event was hosted by the Magnetism in Matter group, with Luis F. Barquin serving as the conference chair. The local organizing committee included J. Rodriguez, J.I. Espeso, M. de Pedro, J. Alonso, C. Moreno, P. González-Izquierdo, and M. Barquin.
The event was a great success, bringing together leading researchers and young scientists from the magnetism community to explore the latest advancements in the field.

His keynote lecture, “Pumping Iron: Revealing Counterintuitive Mechanisms of Magnetization Dynamics”, captivated the audience with groundbreaking insights into magnetization dynamics. - Dr. Jia Yan Law (University of Seville)
Delivered an engaging talk on “Magnetocaloric High-Entropy Alloys: Prospects and Challenges”, discussing the potential and challenges of these advanced materials for future energy applications. - Prof. Cristina Gómez Polo (Public University of Navarra)
Presented on “How Can Magnetism Contribute to Environmental Sustainability?”, exploring the intersection of magnetism and sustainability in modern technologies. - Dr. María José Martínez Pérez (INMA, CSIC – University of Zaragoza)
Her presentation, “Integrating Magnons into Quantum Technologies”, highlighted the emerging role of magnons in the development of quantum devices. - Prof. Manuel Vázquez Villalabeitia (ICMM)

The session concluded with a heartfelt tribute to the late Paco Batallán, acknowledging his significant contributions to the field of magnetism.
