The members of the Chemical and Biomolecular
Engineering Department, Dr. Gabriel Zarca and Dr. Nazely Diban, visited the
Faculty of Engineering of Yamaguchi University (Ube, Japan) from 25th-29th
March, in the frame of the Erasmus+ programme between both institutions.
Gabriel Zarca and Nazely Diban were invited
speakers at the 5th International Symposium on Green and Smart Technologies for
a Sustainable Society from 25th-27th March aimed at Master and PhD students. Other
speakers belonged to the areas of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and
Information and Communications Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa,
Norwergian University of Science and Technology, Universitat Jaume I,
Universidad de Zaragoza, National Institute of Technology (Fukushima College) and
Yamaguchi University.
Our colleagues also visited the laboratory facilities of the Green Chemical Processes group and had a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Vice-President and responsible of International Affairs of Yamaguchi University, to present the research activities of our Department and the Chemical Engineering Graduate and Master programmes in the UC.
