Getting to Santander

Santander is the capital of the Cantabria region, in the northern coast of Spain. You can find information about Cantabria here.

By Plane

• The closest airport to the city is Santander-Parayas. Two companies operate there:
  
  
  • Air Nostrum (Iberia) joins the airport with several locations within Spain.
  
  
  • Ryanair connects Santander with London-Stansted, Frankfurt-Hahn, Rome-Ciampino, Milan-Bergamo, Dublin, Madrid, and Reus.
  
  
• The Bilbao-Loiu airport, one of the main airports in Spain, is also a convenient choice to get Santander.

By Train

Renfe connects Santander with Palencia, Valladolid, and Madrid. For transportation from northern locations, the bus is a more convenient choice.

By Bus

Alsa operates the main long-distance bus routes which stop at Santander, including a connection with Bilbao and the French border at Irún-Hendaye.

Both hotels are situated in "El Sardinero" beach area which is about 15 minutes walking to the conference site.
The reservation of the room must be done directly by the participant with the hotel.
