Santander is a seaport of northern Spain, in the region of Cantabria. It is a middle-large size city that spreads along the bay, known for its city beaches and scenic harbor. It has around 185.000 inhabitants, although population increases in the summer. Outstanding places near Santander are: the Altamira caves with prehistoric paintings, the park of Cabarceno, the charming village of Santillana del Mar, Comillas with its University or Suances, famous for its beaches.
Getting to Santander
